The Hong Kong New Industrialisation Development Alliance (HKNIDA) serve as the implementation agent of the “New Industrialisation Elite Enterprises Nurturing Scheme” (NIES) at the advice of the Government and held a launch ceremony to promote and introduce the scheme details to the industry, attracting 100 industry leaders to join the event.
Dr Steve Chuang, Chairman of the Hong Kong New Industrialisation Development Alliance, said, “The national 15th Five-Year Plan emphasises deep integration of scientific and technological innovation. As a collaborative platform integrating Government, industry, academia, research and investment sectors, the Hong Kong New Industrialisation Development Alliance is committed to supporting Hong Kong’s development of high-end manufacturing and facilitating the practical application and realisation of R&D outcomes. I am confident that the Alliance’s network and platform can be organically combined with the NIES to propel Hong Kong’s new industrial development to a new milestone, hence consolidate and strengthen the foundation of the real economy.”
The “New Industrialisation Elite Enterprises Nurturing Scheme” was proposed in the 2026-27 Budget by the Financial Secretary to nurture emerging and future industry by focusing on support for high-growth enterprises that develop their businesses in Hong Kong and contribute to the local development of new industrialisation.
